Organ Recital with Alastair Stone

Sat, 11 Oct

|

All Saints Church, Faringdon

All Saints boasts a wonderful organ, very similar to the one at New College Oxford, both built by Grant, Degens and Bradbeer around 1969. The instrument is highly praised by many professional organists. Since starting this concert series it has been our mission to have it played more often.

During sixth form he attended the Royal Birmingham Junior Conservatoire to study piano and composition, where he was awarded the Beryl Chempin Prize for his grade 8 piano result and achieved a DipABRSM in piano performance. In addition to his duties at Pembroke, he was organ scholar at Harris Manchester College, and performed recitals at eight different colleges, including the established organ series at both Exeter and Merton, as well as working as an accompanist with the Oxford Opera Society and for individual soloists.
